A magical compass rose device. I'm not totally sure what function it would have as a magical device, but I may come up with one. I've designed this based on the compass rose in the Journey to Wild Divine software...its basically an overhaul with some elements still capturing the essence of it but the essence is where the similarity ends (there's was a 2d line art with no depth)
I'm going to be using this as a logo for my up coming Cartographers Guild website...a forum site for mappers. I do hope you enjoy it though. Its wallpaper sized 1280x1024. Comments

Thanks...I thought I was finished, but I'm doing some work with the materials now that sgoing to make this even better...I'm also going to make a print out of it. The lighting is my favorite part though like you said.
